4/3/13: Today we made final decisions about the jobs we would like to take on and the locations in Portland where we’d like to work. Our biography cards took a long while to plan out and finalize, so we didn’t have time to create our homes or the places we work today, but we’ll get to that tomorrow.
Kain and Nate will be writing the City Overview and Government sections. Kain is the city’s Mayor and Nate is a City Commissioner.
Owen and Eamon will be writing the Transportation/Getting Around section. They are both Engineers working on the Sellwood Bridge Project and one of them is only 8!
Rade and Klara will be writing the Local Attractions section. Rade is a Journalist at The Oregonian and Klara is a City Planner who loves designing fountains.
Logan and Sophie will be writing The Arts & Culture section. Logan is the Director of Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and Sophie is a local Artist and Art Teacher.
Eli and Natalie will be writing The Parks and Outdoors sections. Eli is a Park Ranger in Forest Park who loves archery and Natalie is a Landscape Architect who lives in a treehouse.
Cailin, Gabe and Tye will be writing the Food section. Cailin operates a restaurant called Banzerea, Gabe owns a food cart called Son of Gabriel and Tye is a Food Critic.
Caden and Maya will be writing the Sports section. Caden is a professional Baseball Player and Maya is an Olympic Gymnast.
Emily and Ameya will be writing the Music & Entertainment section. Emily and Ameya are both Singers/Actresses, and they both have tons of pets.
Sydney F and Allyson will be writing the Urban Agriculture section. Sydney operates a Farm Store called the Crop Market and Allyson is a Farmers Market Manager.
Sydney C and Maia will be writing the Charity / Non–Profit section. Sydney is an Animal Care Specialist at the Oregon Humane Society and Maia is the Curator at a Zoo.
Jack and Liem will be writing the Environmentalism section. Jack is an Engineer at US Fish & Wildlife and Liem is an Architect. They both love extreme sports.
Grace and Sebastian will be writing the Business / Economy section. Grace is a Veteranarian at a local Animal Hospital and Sebastian is a Product Designer at Adidas.
