Portland Map

4/4/13: Today we worked cooperatively and efficiently as we began filling in our Portland map. First students worked on creating their homes and the locations where they worked:

Liem, the architect, designed a ‘hobbit-style’ home:

Yesterday, Natalie, Jack and I began a long list of other things we would need on our map. Today, some students began crossing off items as they were researched and created:

Zoo Curator Maia made apartment buildings for downtown:

Emily, Logan and Gabe worked together to create the Paul Bunyan statue in Kenton, which was mentioned in a book we read on Monday:

Our Landscape Architect, Natalie, and our City Planner, Klara, created a ton of trees quickly:

And our Park Ranger, Eli, added them to Forest Park and other parks around the city:
